The Flexible (Flex) Calendar program allows participating colleges to provide opportunities for professional development in lieu of regular instruction. Flex is directed by the Chancellor’s Office as stipulated by Title 5 of the California Code of Regulations. 

Currently, Solano Community College provides seven days (42 hours) for professional development during the academic year. Flex activities include, but are not limited to trainings, workshops, conferences, seminars, and group retreats as related to staff improvement, student improvement, and instructional improvement.
