Student Parent Resources

Our Focus on Student Parents

Attending college is challenging for many students, but it is even more challenging for student parents as they juggle academic demands while also raising children.   Solano Community College is committed to academic success and degree attainment for student parents and welcomes the opportunity to focus on your needs and the needs of your children.  We want to help student parents navigate the challenges of parenting while in college and assist you in reaching your goals.

AB 2881

California’s student parent population deserves particular focus and support. Enacted on July 1, 2023, AB 2881 provides a multi-faceted approach to support student parents at the community colleges, California State University, and University of California by granting priority registration to student parents, as well as listing available resources.

Our Student Parent Resources page highlights available services and resources that are critical to the success of our college student parents.
