Welcome to the Basic Needs Center!
We have a team of dedicated staff who are here to help you every step of the way! All students
have access to a network of support, resources, programs, and people who will assist you in
achieving your goals here at Solano and beyond.

What We Do
The Basic Needs Center connects SCC students without access to food, clothing, housing, technology, transportation, childcare, and other essential needs to college services and community resources, including:
*Free Food Pantry, Clothes Closet, and Resources
*Housing Assistance and Referrals
*Emergency Assistance
*Health & Well-Being for Students

CA Low Cost Auto Insurance
California has a low-cost auto insurance program (CLCA) for people who meet certain requirements. Learn more & apply online at California’s Low Cost Auto Insurance or by calling 866-602-8861

If you meet the following requirements, you may be eligible for low-cost auto insurance:
- Have a current valid California driver’s license (AB60 for undocumented students)
- Own a vehicle valued at or under $25,000
- Meet income eligibility guidelinesÂ
- Are at least 16 years old
- Have a ‘good’ driving record
Nursing Room
Solano Community College supports nursing parents with a safe, clean and secure nurturing environment on campus to support breastfeeding and breast pumping in alignment with S.B. 142. This private haven is equipped with amenities including a comfortable recliner, mini- fridge for milk storage, electrical outlets, sink, sound machine, changing table, and dedicated storage drawers. Lactation supplies available upon request.
