A wait list allows students to show their interest in a course where the seat capacity has been reached. Permission numbers for waitlisted students are posted on the Friday before the semester starts and are only valid on or after the first day of the course.

When a seat becomes available, the next student on the wait list will receive a notification e-mail which is sent to the student’s Solano College e-mail account. It is the student’s responsibility to check their e-mail account. If students choose to have their student e-mail forwarded to their personal e-mail, it is the student’s responsibility to ensure that the forwarded address is correct and that the donotreplya&r@solano.edu is not blocked by the external e-mail provider’s spam filters.

Students have 48 hours to register in the wait listed course from the time the notification e-mail is sent. Failure to register within the 48 hour notification window will result in the student being expired from the wait list which opens the opportunity for the next student on the wait list to register

Make sure that you check your flex hours in the Vision Resource Center, and that you sign your office hours form from your admins.

If you participated in any flex qualifying activities this semester, including department, division and other qualifying meetings, and Keenan trainings, make sure those are all showing up in your transcript in the Vision Resource Center. If you’re not sure how many paid hours you have, try using the attached calculator.

If you submitted office hours paperwork at the beginning of the semester, be sure to sign your paperwork with your admin. Paid office hours are a two-step process that begins with submitting paperwork at the start of the semester, and ends with signing that same paperwork to confirm that you held the office hours at the end of the semester.

FYI: Time for Flex is submitted twice, once in December for January pay, and then again in January to capture any December Flex on your February pay.

Follow these instructions to access the VRC.

  • Log into my.solano.edu (http://my.solano.edu/)
  • Click on the Employee tab
  • In the middle column, click on the colorful Solano College Professional Development icon. This will open up the vision resource center.
  • At this point, Flex attendance is mostly submitted and verified by the host of the event. However, some kinds of Flex, including Keenan trainings require your manual input.
  • To check your total Flex hours so far, go to the Reports menu and select Dashboards. Be sure to click the chart (â–¼) to select the correct semester and Refresh to update the information.
  • To view your transcript, go to Learning and select My Transcript.
  • To add any items not included on your transcript, including Keenan trainings, review the attached FAQ.
