Fall Chapter 33 Notice
*IMPORTANT*
IN-PERSON Classes – Post 9/11 GI Bill (aka Forever GI Bill) Chapter 33Â students are required to enroll in one in-person course for Summer and Fall terms in order to receive full BAH. Â H.R. 5545: Remote Act providing Chapter 33 students to receive full BAH for taking all online courses EXPIRES on June 1, 2022. Â The VRC staff will post updates if Congress passes a law to extend this provision.Â

Remote-only services on Wednesday, December 20, 2023.
Closed for Winter Break starting on Friday, December 22, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. Return for remote-only services on Wednesday, January 3, 2024.
We will return for in-person services on Monday, January 8, 2024 at 10:00 a.m.
Solano Community College the 1st Purple Heart Community College on the West Coast
Since 1964, Solano Community College has been assisting student Veterans and their dependents with pursuing their educational goals who are using their VA Education Benefits. As a commitment to the Veteran & Active-duty community, Solano Community College established the Veterans Resource Center and began offering courses at Travis Air Force base in 1975. In 2019, Solano Community College was honored to be named the 1st Purple Heart College on the West Coast.
The Veterans Resource Center works to provide comprehensive resources to Veterans, Military and dependents to aid in their overall success as a Solano Community College student. The VRC staff assists students with requirements for using their GI Bill®, Tuition Assistance, MyCAA and Cal Vet Fee Waiver.
Our mission is to create a welcoming, inclusive environment that honors the unique experiences, skills, and perspectives of our Veteran, Military and dependent students.
Veterans Resource Center is a 3,000 square foot space for Veterans, Military and dependents students to enjoy while attending Solano Community College.
