PD Funding Application
Planning to participate in a professional development event? The Professional Development/Flexibility Calendar committee has limited funding available on a first-come, first-served basis. To apply for funding, complete the Outlook form (while logged in to Outlook) prior to registration for the event. If the Outlook Form does not work for you, please complete each of the following forms:
Submit your completed forms (Travel Authorization, Grant Application, and Checklist) with documentation as attachments to the Academic Senate administrator (AcademicSenate@solano.edu). Applications are evaluated by the committee using a standard rubric. Individuals that apply for more than one grant per academic year are required to address the supplemental questions (here). Note the due dates on the Committee Info page. Please see the Professional Development Grant Procedures and the FAQ page for more information or contact firstname.lastname@example.org with questions.
Fiscal Services still require the Travel Authorization & Reimbursement Claim form for events that do not involve travel (e.g. online, virtual) to receive reimbursement.
- California Assembly Bill No. 1887 prohibits state-funded and state-sponsored travel to states with discriminatory laws. Please see the website of the Attorney General for states that are currently subject to California’s ban on state-funded and state-sponsored travel: http://oag.ca.gov/ab1887.
- The Solano Community College Travel Guidelines (Board Policy 4480) states that reimbursement shall be reasonable and at the lowest rate available.
