Community College League of California Announces 2022 Phi Theta Kappa All-California Award Winners

SACRAMENTO, CA – The Community College League of California (League) is pleased to announce the 2022 Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) All-California Academic Team Selections and Rankings. This year, 114 students were chosen from across the California Community Colleges for the All-California Academic First, Second and Third Teams. PTK recognizes the academic achievement of college students and provides opportunities for its members to grow as scholars and leaders. Established in 1918, Phi Theta Kappa has a presence on almost 1,300 community college campuses in 11 nations. Building on the success of the national All-USA Team Program, PTK launched the All-State Academic Team Program. The purpose of this program is to provide recognition at the state level for these top community college students.

Grades, leadership, and community service determine selection to the All-California First, Second and Third Teams. The students selected represent some of the best of the two million students enrolled in California’s 116 community colleges. Students have undoubtedly faced many additional and unprecedented challenges over the last two years. The 2022 winners should be exceptionally proud of their achievements during these difficult times.

The League would like to extend our congratulations to the 2022 PTK Winners,” said Dr. Larry Galizio, President and CEO of the Community College League of California. “We are proud to sponsor this award and provide all team members a medallion and certificate recognizing their accomplishments.”

An official 2022 PTK Award Yearbook will be mailed to all winners, college presidents, and PTK advisors. All colleges with an All-California Award Winner are encouraged to celebrate their student(s).
