Join us in congratulating the Solano College Speech and Debate team for another successful tournament. On November 19^th – 21^st, the Solano College speech and debate team competed at the Diablo Valley College Invitational Tournament. The tournament is the biggest speech and debate tournament on the West Coast this year with 4-year and 2-year teams all over California competing against teams ranging from national champions Bradley University, Air Force Academy, and Georgia Tech Institute of Technology, just to name a few. I am proud to announce the team took home 1^st place overall in the community college division for individual events. What is more impressive is that team won more points than all 2-year colleges and every 4-year university! I would like to thank our amazing students and our hard-working coaches, Janene Whitesell and Zach Waters, for our continued success this year.
