SCC MANDATES FACE COVERINGS AND REQUIRES VACCINATION OR TESTING FOR

ALL STUDENTS, EMPLOYEES, AND VOLUNTEERS

RESOLUTION NO. 21/22-03

On September 15th, 2021 the Solano Community College (SCC) Board of Trustees approved a vaccination and face covering mandate for all students, employees, and volunteers. This mandate will go into effect on October 15th, 2021 and will require those accessing campus to show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test result. Additionally, all indoor activities and classes will require face coverings.

The health and safety of SCC employees and students are of paramount importance. SCC understands that steps must be taken to help prevent and limit the spread of COVID-19 and its variants. Following guidance from the State, Cal/OHSA, the CDC, and FDA, SCC has determined that this resolution will further protect its community and create a footing to return to in-person classes and activities.

SCC has and will continue to provide free vaccination clinics, resources, and information to assist anyone who has not yet been vaccinated. Through partnerships with The White House, Touro University, Kaiser Permanente, Sutter Health, Solano Public Health, and many others, SCC is confident that access to the vaccine is provided to the community. Testing will also be conducted on campus and information regarding days and times will be shared with employees and students in the coming weeks.

SCC management and The Board of Trustees continue their support for the health and wellbeing of our community through these unprecedented times.
