The Solano Community College Photography program provides students with two degree options, the Professional Photography option and the Photo Illustration option.  

Program Learning Outcomes

Students who complete the Photography, Professional Certificate of Achievement/Associate Degree will be able to:

1. Demonstrate full knowledge of the technical aspects of photography, including camera operations, exposure, lighting, and post-production, including software applications and printing.

2. Integrate conceptual elements with aesthetic and technical skills to create cohesive and memorable photographs.

3. Conceive and produce a coherent portfolio of original work that meets department and professional industry standards.

4. Demonstrate an understanding of industry trends and professional practices related to a career in photography.
