Solano Community College to Celebrate Graduates

On Thursday, May 26, 2022, Solano Community College will host “Car-Mencement 2022,” a graduation vehicular parade at the Fairfield campus starting at 10:00 AM. Candidates from the Class of 2022, as well as graduates from the Class of 2021 and 2020 are invited to join this year’s “Car-Mencement” celebration. Graduates wishing to participate in Car-Mencement must register online at https://welcome.solano.edu/graduation/ and select a one hour time frame when they will be in their vehicle and circle the campus to cheering faculty and staff before receiving their diploma cover while remaining in their vehicle. Students without transportation may participate and are asked to email graduationinfo@solano.edu for further instructions. “Car-mencement” will be livestreamed and may be viewed on the college’s home page beginning at 10:00 AM, on May 26.

A Virtual Commencement video will be posted to the college’s website at 6:00 pm on May 26, 2022 and will include graduate’s photos and celebratory comments from faculty, staff, and students. Graduates must RSVP at https://welcome.solano.edu/graduation/ and follow directions regarding photo submissions in order to be included in the video. For those who miss the first photo submission due date for the Virtual Commencement, an updated Virtual Commencement video will be posted on June 10.
