Just a reminder: Students must wear masks when in close contact with others, no alcohol, weapons, or drugs are allowed on the campus. Students are to follow directions given to them by safety personnel during the parade and while leaving campus.
Who can attend the celebration?
This celebration is for the classes of: Summer 2020, Fall 2020, Spring 2021, Summer 2021, Fall 2021 and Spring 2022. Only graduates that successfully received degree/certificates during the above terms or have applied to graduate in 2022 will be allowed to RSVP and attend the event.
Is registration to participate required?
Yes. The deadline to RSVP is April 22, 2022.
Virtual Commencement Ceremony
Once the student has registered with Marching Order and uploaded all required information they will become a part of the virtual ceremony. This ceremony will be available after the graduation parade. Date TBD.
Once the student has registered with Marching Order and RSVP'd they will become a part of the parade “car-mencement”
What day/time is the celebration?
Graduates can select from multiple time slots on May 26th when they register to attend the event.

Graduates should plan to arrive at the time stated above based on graduation year. Please do not arrive early.
Can I go through the celebration route more than once?
No. You will be turned around at check-in if you attempt to re-enter the celebration.
Will my name still be printed in a commencement program?
Yes! Everyone’s whose petition has been approved will appear in the commencement program. You will receive your program at the drive-thru celebration. Programs will only include graduating students from Summer 2021, Fall 2021 and Spring 2022.
When will I receive my diploma?
Allow six months for the completion of a degree evaluation, after which time diplomas will be mailed to the address you listed on your graduation application. Check the graduation petition webpage for the diploma delivery timeline.
Can I drive myself?
Yes! Disabled students and students who do not have access to vehicle should email: email@example.com for further instructions.
Can my friends and/or family follow in another vehicle?
No. Only one vehicle is allowed per graduate. Guests from the same household unit may join a graduate in their one vehicle. Safety laws still apply (including vehicle maximum occupancy, speed limits, seatbelt laws, etc.)
Can my friends and family stand along the parade route?
No. Only faculty and staff members who have been approved may stand along the celebration route. Faculty and staff will maintain appropriate social distance and wear face coverings.
Can I or my guests ride in the bed of a pickup truck?
No. All California Road Laws must be followed while on the route.
What types of vehicles will be permitted?
No bicycles or motorcycles will be permitted onto the route. Convertibles will be allowed, but passengers are encouraged to wear masks at all times.
Who will be along the route?
Faculty, staff, and college leadership will be there to cheer you on – while following social distancing measures, wearing appropriate face coverings, and following strict event guidelines. Only employees will be allowed to line the celebration route. Due to safety, guests, community members, and students will not be allowed to stand along the route.
Can I stop to greet faculty or staff along the route to take pictures?
No. You must remain in your vehicle at all times and faculty/staff must maintain appropriate social distance from your vehicle.
Can I stop and exit my vehicle at any time during the celebration?
No. Participants must remain in their vehicle unless a staff or faculty member indicates that they can get out. Participants must follow instructions given by staff and safety personnel.
Who do I contact if I need accommodations for disability at the event?
Disabled students who do not have access to a vehicle should email: firstname.lastname@example.org for further instructions and should also indicate this on the RSVP form and someone will reach out to you to discuss your accommodations.

Who should I submit the school photographer form to?
Please bring to the car-mencement.
Do I have to use the school photographer or can I use another photographer?
The photographer will take your picture, you are under no obligation to purchase! You may use any photographer you wish outside of car-mencement.
Where do I submit my photograph for the virtual ceremony?
You will submit your photograph via Marchingorder. You will also be able to write a personal statement.
Will my name be announced?
Your name will be announced during the virtual ceremony only.
Can I wear my cap and gown?
Yes, but it is not required.
