Solano Community College Supports Small Business With “Shop Small For Fall” Event

Fairfield, CA – Solano Community College will host “Shop Small For Fall.’ Small business pop up events created by the Solano Community College Entrepreneur Club. These events aim to support and promote small businesses within the surrounding area and businesses operated by students.

• From 10am to 6pm on Friday, October 27, 2023 and Saturday, October 28, 2023 – Fright Fest and Truck or Treat
• From 10am to 4pm on Friday, November 3, 2023 – Fall Sale Pop Up Shops
• From 10am to 4pm on Friday, December 1, 2023 and Saturday, December 2, 2023 – Holiday Pop Up Shops

Find your Holiday gifts and more while supporting the efforts of local businesses and the entrepreneurial students of Solano Community College by joining us for these two great events!

Thanks to help from the Solano Small Business Development Center, the Solano College Entrepreneur Club was able to coordinate with many vendors and local businesses. “We will have a variety of local vendors that will have their services available and products on display for purchase.” says Tim Murrill, Director of the Solano Small Business Development Center.

Small businesses are often first to feel the effects of a slowing market. With current conditions changing daily, the Solano Community College Business and Marketing programs have coordinated their efforts to support these local vendors. As small businesses employ a large portion of Solano County’s workforce, it is imperative that they receive continued support.

This pop up will also help fund future events that allow the Solano Community College Entrepreneur Club to distribute and acquire resources needed to organize an event of this level.

Staff will also be on site to answer questions about the 60+ different Solano College Programs and their Entrepreneurial Students involvement.
