ABOUT EVENT

FASU provides a cultural community that celebrates ancestral roots, fosters cultural pride, and manifests important aspects of the Filipino culture for all to appreciate. We encourage members to have fun, develop friendships, and
practice community building. We have opportunities to learn about the Philippines’ history, culture, and experiences. Lastly, we are a supportive, caring, and friendly
organization for anyone who is interested in participating in its activities.

For our 3rd meeting, one of our members will be presenting Larry Itliong and the Filipinos who were part of the Delano Grape Strike. Itliong is a key figure of the Asian American Movement. In addition, how the Filipinos were ignored and overlooked in favor of Chavez when taught about the strike. Join us to learn more and participate in our fun community!
